Mystery surrounds Gene Hackman’s $4 million Santa Fe compound as police investigate ‘suspicious’ deaths

Late actor Gene Hackman’s $4 million Santa Fe compound has been pictured surrounded by police and emergency vehicles—as officials deemed the deaths of the Hollywood legend and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, “suspicious enough” to warrant a full investigation.

Hackman, 95, and Arakawa, 63, were both found dead inside their longtime New Mexico property on Feb. 26 after being discovered by an unnamed worker; however, their identities were not confirmed until the following day.
